Radboud publishes one of the clearest mappings: Psychology accepts OMPT-C or OMPT-E (E recommended); Economics & Business Economics accepts OMPT-A or OMPT-F; STEM bachelors (Chemistry, Computing Science, Mathematics, Physics, AI) require OMPT-D; social-science bachelors (Public Administration, Political Science) ask for OMPT-E. What these variants cover

• OMPT-A — algebra core (numbers, algebra, linear & quadratic equations, functions, exponentials & logarithms) through introductory differentiation (52 questions / 120 min).
• OMPT-C — the lightest, foundational variant: numbers, algebra, linear equations and basic geometry (30 questions / 120 min).
• OMPT-D — the calculus-intensive STEM variant: full differentiation, trigonometry, geometry and integration, designed around the Dutch Wiskunde B level (21 long open questions / 180 min).

Sitting the wrong variant usually means paying and sitting again, so the single most important step is to confirm the exact variant your programme lists before you book.

Why prepare before you book

The official OMPT is not a free formative test. A single attempt costs €240 (€270 for OMPT-D/F), at Radboud University you typically get up to 2 attempts, and results can take up to 8 working days — long enough to threaten an enrolment deadline if you fail. Pass marks for the OMPT generally run from 55% to 75% depending on the programme.
