Universities publish this information in very different places (admission pages, PDFs, exam regulations), so we consolidated it. A dash to a university opens our prep page for it; a variant opens the guide for that test. Where no threshold is published anywhere official, the row says so — we never estimate a cutoff.

How to read this table
Who sets the pass mark? Not OMPT. The test provider's own knowledge base puts it plainly: "each program determines its own minimum passing grade". The same score can be a pass for one programme and a fail for another.
Methodology. Every figure above was checked against an official university page (admission page, deficiency page, or the university's published exam regulations) in July 2026, and each row links its source. Where a university names the OMPT but publishes no threshold, the row says "not published" — we never estimate or extrapolate a cutoff. Universities revise these thresholds yearly, sometimes mid-cycle: the linked source and your admission letter always win over this table.
Three things the table shows
- The spread is wide. A 60% OMPT-E score passes at VU Amsterdam but the same percentage would fail Utrecht's 75% OMPT-A bar. The variant and the number both depend on your programme, so confirm which OMPT you need before anything else.
- Attempts are limited. Most programmes allow 2–3 attempts, UvA's Economics & Business Economics allows exactly one. At €240+ per attempt, sitting the real exam "to see what it's like" is the expensive way to find out where you stand.
- Some cutoffs simply aren't published. EUR's psychology-track programmes and Nyenrode name the OMPT without a public threshold. That's not an oversight on this page — the number is in your admission letter, not on the web.
